Working in groups, pupils build a cave to house the bats they have made.

Preparation: Topic is animals in the forest – hibernation or mammals
Children research bats on the internet
Plenary: Discussion about materials that can be used
Planning the realisation, procedure, assignment of the different children (independently)
The children build the cave without instructions and without a time limit.

Goals
Using STEAM creatively and playfully with the aim of: better understanding of maths, statics, targeted use of modern technology, promotion of group dynamic processes and individual skills.

Cardboard, scrap paper, nature materials, wire, chicken wire, pliers, hammer, hot glue gun, colours.
